What everyone else said, Zen.
I heart you all, thank you.
Waking up 20 minutes before your appointment and then leaping out of bed in a panic and yeeting out the door is a classic for a reason. Miraculously I made it to the doctor on time anyway. We added Abilify to my drug cocktail; anyone have any experience with it? So starting Monday, I'm off for a month. Such a relief. I am v v lucky and blessed to have supportive management and an engaged and caring doctor.
[Note: If a nurse looks at your crying face and says, Yeah, you should see Dr. GoodDoctor, don't wait two years to take her advice.]
Zen, take care of yourself - you're the only you we have. And you know, I think everyone gets tired of adulting - I find that I sometimes wish I could just give up on a lot of the "adult" (non-pron) stuff I do. The other day I just could not get going, so I lay down until I felt up to moving and turned up at work an hour late ... and the world did not end, my boss didn't even frown at me.
Timelies all!
Health~ma to your dad, Deena.
Way to make your appointment, Zen!
Health~ma for Deena's dad
A friend of mine (I haven't seen or talked to her in years, but I feel friendly towards her) is getting married, which I kinda vaguely knew, but now that everyone's posting pre-wedding festivity pictures on FB I find it's a destination wedding in New Orleans and that is weirding me out.
Just had to get that off my chest and I *really* don't want to say anything in that circle of friends...
Finally watched Jane. AND Gina Rodriguez directed?!?!
That Gina Rodriguez is such a showoff.
Deena, tons of ~ma for your father.
Ha! I forgot that Brooklyn 99 was on tonight - something to look forward to tomorrow. And I checked out the What We Do In The Shadows pilot, and it was as fun as I hoped.
Tomorrow, my roommate is once again scheduled for open heart surgery. Fingers crossed! If it all works, she'll probably be in the hospital for a week altogether, and then we'll find out if they need to send her to cardiac rehab or not, depending on how her post-op recovery. It may take up to three months before she really feels better, but she will feel much better than she did pre-surgery when the recovery is over, because her heart is not functioning well now.
I'm pretty nervous about it all, actually.
