Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

The status is NOT quo.

Sorry, Dana. That's really frustrating.

The status is NOT quo.

He very magnanimously responded that he heard what I was saying but clearly thinks that I hold him an apology because I was rude and dismissive. I have unfriended him because I really just don't see what else I can do.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Pix, you did your best. He just doesn't want to listen.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Good riddance, Pix.

We returned from lunch, and the music has stopped. We're holding on to the hope that he just had it that loud while he was doing stuff around the house -- when we left, he was actually outside in his garage.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Hello Buffistas! I am back from a blissful week on the JoCo Cruise. We ate a lot of pretty good food and saw Mr. Coulton, Paul & Storm,Jim Boggia, Mike Phirman, Aimee Mann, Sammus, Tuneyards and Jill Sobule sing, the McIlroy Brothers, Ophira Eisenberg, Solomon Georgio and Aparna Narnchala do comedy, John Scalzi and Charlie Jane Anders do readings. It was so nice to to O.D. on culture, something we can't really do here in Michigan. There is lots of culture, but it's spread out over the year.

The big land concert in Puerto Rico was rained out before the main event, They Might Be Giants, could play. They managed to get a lot of the equipment inside over the next hour and then had a short ad hoc concert on the boat. Both J and I had gotten SOAKED in the rainstorm and were dried off and in bed in our cabin when the news of the concert came out. I wore my jammies and slippers ( nothing like going to an event on a boat) and we were right at the edge of the stage for the whole performance of our favorite band. It was great.

Also met many cool people, played some board games and played a Galaga game with my spouse at a table next to Wil Wheaton. We loved the cruise and have already signed up for next year.

That sounds awesome Scrappy!!

I woke up in the middle of the night to be sick, and then went to the doctor this morning (unrelatedly) and then when I got home got back in bed until about 2pm. Waste of a gorgeous day! Now I'm going to go get pho before a haircut.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The JoCo cruise! I am so jealous!

Pix, you have already expended so much more emotional labor than this dude deserves that he should be writing you a check. And he thinks you owe him an apology???!!

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

That's quite a cruise!
