Our wings are not tired.

I need more sheets. In theory I like having a variety of options.

Today is actually my day to wash the sheets that are in the hamper and then change the sheets. I love Clean Sheets Friday!

I also think I'm going to ignore the news and binge watch Shrill on Hulu.

What is even happening?

What are everyone's favorite used book buying sites? Other than the usual eBay/Etsy/Abe Books? There's a vintage gothic romance paperback I'm desperate to track down, and I'm having no luck.

Atropa, this is the kind of question you might pose to TWoP co-founder Sars (Sarah Bunting). You can find her on Twitter at @TomatoNation or at [link]

To be clear, I wouldn't ask Sars for a store rec, I'd ask her to help you locate a copy of the book. This came to mind because, she's asked her readers to help other readers identify a book title they'd forgotten, working on just a description.

This suggestion is brought to you by my avoidance of all the terrible things going on in the world. The sheet conversation isn't helpful in my case, because I also started a linen closet re-org and injured my back during the pull-apart phase, so I have a full laundry basket of clean sheets (for a household of five) which need rewashing, or repurposing as rags, and it's judging me. Hard.

brillig

I bought two sets of new sheets for my new full-sized bed. They're both the same color, because choice sometimes confuses me.

My favorite thing about our bedsheets is that they're vertically striped, so I always know which way to put the sheets on. (It's just annoying when I get the short side of the sheet on the long side of the mattress. Stripes always mean I know which side is short and which side is long.) (That's not why we bought them, but it's a bonus.)

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

Cindy, an injured back is a super-legit reason to put off sheet wrangling. Your sheets can just keep their judginess to themselves!

All of my sheets are some shade/pattern of blue, 'cuz I like blue. Most of them are navy blue because there are still the occasional "monthly" issues.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Somewhere I read that you should have three sets of bed sheets, which means that one set on the bed, one set on the shelf, and one set waiting for laundry.

Also that the interval for laundering depends on a) how many on the bed b) what you do on the bed (think food if you don't have a dirty mind) and c) whether you usually wear pajamas, which makes a surprising amount of difference, because pajamas soak up a lot of sweat and skin oil.

Wow, so much more complicated than I would have guessed!
