What should I do, then? Send her a gift? Sacrifice? … Unholy fruit basket?

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I'm having an ok day except for my Nemesis clearly proving that she just doesn't read my emails. RETIRE ALREADY.

ION, looks like Nikki Haley was just about to get in trouble for ethics violations, so she quit. The fear on Twitter is that Trump will fire Sessions, appoint Lindsey Graham to DoJ, and then Haley can be appointed to Graham's seat.

I got my flu shot today and now my arm aches. Still I'm doing my bit for the herd immunity.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I'm curious what that Kushner is a genius thing is about. Doesn't seem like the sort of thing one would say spontaneously for no particular reason.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

Ethics violations? In the Trump administration. No. I am shocked. This is me, being shocked.

Our wings are not tired.

There were some noises made that the reason that Trump isn't naming Haley's replacement until after the midterms is that his intention is to appoint Ivanka.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

I'm sorry for everybody's crappy mornings.

This:

with the unspoken "stupid human" loud and clear. This is how the robot uprising begins.

is familiar. I drove 1984 200SX for eleven years and loved that car to death. Little, peppy, responsive, it was like driving a cutting horse, ITYW. She had an onboard computer, could switch from MPH to KPH by flipping a switch, kept track of gas mileage, a whole raft of things that were before her time. She also had a snotty attitude.

There were a list of warnings she delivered (in a woman's voice):

Right door is open, Fuel is low, Brake is on, Lights are on, and etc. Each one with the unspoken, "Dummy" or "Stupid" or Jess' Alexa's "stupid human" hanging in the air. All forgiven or overlooked, though, because she was a dream to drive.

I had to give her up when the knee could no longer handle the clutch in city driving.

Jesse, that is very weird. Heck, my current out of office says I won't be reading emails even though I've been skimming them a bit (mostly to make sure everything is ccd to someone else). Not sure how long I'll be able to/get to take off. I asked my boss and she has Hr email me some stuff about STD and FMLA—the first week of STD you have to use PTO for (not a problem) and then it starts. Not sure what my doctor will recommend—like, I don't have to commitenorngetndressed, to work, so I could go back sooner than most people. But not while I'm in pain meds I guess? I'm torn if I even want to. I kinda would like to be out for a few weeks! But I feel like if it's one week I can catch up, and if it's like, 3 or more weeks, they'll work around me. But 1-3 weeks is a tricky spot where I just end up with a lot of overdue work and things to catch up on.

Oh, but my knee scooter arrived this morning! Yay amazon! So much better than crutches.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

All my Japanese car ever said to me is "The door is a jar." I think there may have been a translation problem there.

The reason that I have the British woman's voice on my Waze GPS is that she's kind of perky and upbeat. The man's voice was too judgy and stern. I'm serious.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

I have the British man on my Waze. The default American woman has a midwestern accent that I find grating.

My parents had the "door is a jar" car. We never stopped making the jokes.
