Wash: Psychic, though? That sounds like something out of science fiction. Zoe: We live in a space ship, dear. Wash: So?

Our wings are not tired

It is something I'm looking at. I'm sitting down with my Director of Operations to see if a Go Fund Me campaign can be framed in the right way.

Thank you all!

Herding cats for fun

Yes, if there were a way for the shallow pockets people to throw a few twenties into the ring, I could do that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Tell her she'll need a new name, Jesse.

It's been done before! Crowdsourced re-naming!

Somehow I read this as still being about ND's business and I was like "I suppose donors getting to choose a new name for the business would be one option, but that seems kind of extreme..."

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Ha! But ND's business has the perfect name!

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

If someone could come up with a better name, they would totally deserve a prize. But that would take away from the crowdfund.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I'm starting to feel like I should get custom earplugs, because even using better non-custom ones, I'm still getting tinnitus from my super-loud band. I know they are $$$, but better than wrecking my hearing? But I have to get a referral from my PCP before seeing an audiologist, and that just feels like a step too far! Especially since I don't need a regular check-up, although I guess it's been a year, so I could get in for free, and just spring the referral request on her when I'm in the room?

Health care is annoying.

This fucking day, calloo, callay

Healthcare is annoying, it's true. Unrelated to the above. For me, at least.

Ah, Monday after a cruelly shortened by an hour weekend.

Yes, healthcare is very annoying.

In Laura News: I have new neighbors from Canada and so far they have been very nice neighbors, as in we say hey and wave when we see each other but otherwise pretty unaware they exist. Well, they have a fancy sound system in their outdoor pool area, and being new Florida residents from Canada they naturally spend a lot of time outside. I only hear the music when I am outside, or in my back bedroom and bath where I always leave the windows open (until it gets too hot). I think I have heard Opera, R&B, Rock, Country, and just now they are playing some island type music. It is just a delight. I never know what to expect. If it is ever too loud or too late I will enforce my personal rule that if you are sharing your music so loud I can hear, you clearly wanted me to come over and party with you. So far that hasn't been the case.

I don't necessarily mind losing an hour per se, I rarely know what time it is unless I have to, but going from driving to work in the dark in December to a gradually lightening sky early in the year to after the sun comes up only to be cruelly plunged back into darkness in March sucks dead goats.
