Kaylee: So how many fell madly in love with you and wanted to take you away from all this? Inara: Just the one. I think I'm slipping.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

My company decided to have a policy of never closing the office, because everyone has laptops and can work from home if there is inclement weather.

Which I am ambivalent about. On the one hand, there is some credence to that, but OTOH, I was always annoyed when the office was closed and we were expected to work.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

As far as I can tell, my office is either open or closed, which I do appreciate. And work from home is pretty accepted, anyway -- one of my team emailed me last night that day care is delayed, so she'll be late, and I was like "Don't come in at all!!! I mean, if you want..."

Our wings are not tired.

My friend Ricki posted a live video from Boston about 6 this morning while he was driving. It was crazy! Be safe all.

Meanwhile, high today is supposed to be 87! (obligatory taunt) Although we do have a cold snap Wednesday where the high is only supposed to be 70. May have to wear socks.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Gud, please, get help. You are in an unacceptable situation. YOU ARE NOT YOUR WIFE'S PUNCHING BAG. At the very least, you need to be able to tell your wife that if she doesn't help out around the house, she is in no position to complain about what you do and what you decide to leave undone.

There are counselors. There are peer counselors. There are support groups. Your GP can at least prescribe something to relieve the anxiety.

BUT GET HELP!

That actually sounds too hot to me.

But it does remind me of going to Florida for school vacation in high school (February or April, I can't remember) and lying on the beach while the locals were in their fur coats.

87 is too hot! But it is very breezy so it probably won't feel that bad.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

We have a snow day today, though TCG is at work. I was really hoping to finish reading the book that is due back at the library today, but ltc is not going to let that happen.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

In a minor miracle, NYC schools are closed but Ossining is open (2-hour delay)! Which means I can work from home all day since I won't have class tonight (NYU generally does whatever NYC public schools do, so the whole campus is closed). HELLO ALL DAY PAJAMAS.

ltc is very pleased with all day pajamas.
