'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Lots of -ma to your Ma, Sara. Can you take a couple days to go down and 'hang out' which might at least distract her a little as she's getting frustrated getting used to the cast and brace?

I wish to cover all my remaining relatives in bubble wrap, frankly.

I was just reflecting, as one does when one has insomnia, that my aunt's death feels more 'tragic' than my Mom's did because it didn't feel like she was at the end of her road: my Mom had her heart giving out and was ready for it. My aunt's ailments probably added up to an equal amount of illness, but she was still enjoying life, still making plans for adventures. I never had the feeling when I said 'goodbye' that this could be "the last time."

(Boy this post turned maudlin.)

Our wings are not tired.

Good to hear the insurance company is being actually helpful, Chris. I'm sorry about the life upheaval.

So much ~ma for the Ma of Sara and the rest of the family.

Theodosia, yes, it is always sudden, but it is less traumatic when anticipated and expected. When a beloved friend was given six weeks I treasured his response. He insisted it was the perfect amount of time to say goodbye to his family and friends and prepare himself. He said it was okay to cry, but he really appreciated the heads up on the inevitable.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, Sara! Good luck to your mom and dad both.

It means the opposite of "no", argument over.

Ann, that's a ferret.

My sympathies, Dana. I've worked for people like that.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Are you sure you're not in an improv comedy sketch?

Well, we shouldn't have Yes or No, we should only have No, because if the answer is Yes, they should just complete it and move it to the next stage, except that's not how my PM does it and that's not how her PM does it and my PM definitely won't change but your PM is wrong and what do we do with an ESL programmer who might be confused by some words and I don't like this word but I don't have a suggestion for another word but your word definitely won't work.
