Tara: Do you have any books on robots? Giles: Oh, yes, dozens. There's a lot of research to be done in order to--no, I'm lying. Haven't got squat. I just like watching Xander squirm.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

current dog situation at my house

my dog, Bailey - approx 40 lbs foster dog, Buddy - approx 20 lbs dog sit dog, Maya - approx 90 lbs

1) I took them all walking at the same time yesterday - we looked crazy.

2) Maya take meds. Today she took the pill wrapped in the soft chew medicine in her mouth and then dropped it. Buddy ran up and ate it. So meds for biggest dg, eaten by smallest dog.

I've spent the morning on text and phone and google and got all the med names and dosages and was instructed by my vet to just watch Buddy, but he should be fine. I am home now and he is bouncing off the walls a bit. Medicine is for hypothyroidism so yeah his heart rate is up and his little body is all metabolise! metablise! I fed him bread and peanut butter as my vet instructed and may feed him more. poor noodle.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

If our intelligence apparatus hadn't decided it was cool to do an end run around the Constitution to fund regime change via drug running.

To be fair to the 80s, the CIA was doing shit like this in SE Asia during the Viet Nam war. There was a reason our inner cities became flooded with heroin during the 70s.

Buddy ran up and ate it.

High comedy! They should film this.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh no, sj! I hope you get some relief. And ltc enjoyed extra show time (I'm assuming -- this seems like just the right time for it!).

And yikes, msbelle! That's a lot of dog and a lot of meds for one of them. (PS: I mean Buddy.)

Good point. OK, I'll revise it to

If our intelligence apparatus hadn't decided to continue to do an end run around the Constitution to fund regime change via drug running.

Jesse, yes it was a good time for more shows, but she still got a "do I not look a little busy at the moment" to which she said "what?"

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Need more sleep. Then again, I always need more sleep.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I have been working pretty much non-stop since 7am, and now I'm tired and cranky and don't wanna do anything else. I originally started writing this comment two hours ago and it is still true.

We have the same dad!

Yup! His doctor has STRONGLY ADVISED against driving himself to the hospital if he thinks he's having another heart attack.

My father, however, bought good shoes today after his doctor told him to stop buying the cheap ones that ruined his feet, so perhaps this is a sign he finally is listening? I think that is a win.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

We have the same dad!

Yup! His doctor has STRONGLY ADVISED against driving himself to the hospital if he thinks he's having another heart attack.

Ha! If you don't drive yourself, you can't go through the White Castle drive-thru on the way to the hospital! (Okay, my dad has never actually gone through the drive-thru on the way to the hospital with a heart attack [that we know of]. That's just a line I stole from Christopher Titus, because his earlier stand-up routines included a lot about his own dad's multiple heart attacks, which he drove himself to the hospital for.)

I think my dad called 911 for 1 out of his 5* heart attacks.

*(Again, he's had 5 that we know of. It's entirely possible that he's had more. Though, to be fair, he hasn't had a heart attack in probably 10 years? Ish? More than 5 years, I know that.)
