Wash: Little River just gets more colorful by the moment. What'll she do next? Zoe: Either blow us all up or rub soup in our hair. It's a toss-up. Wash: I hope she does the soup thing. It's always a hoot, and we don't all die from it.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

JZ, I'm so sorry -- what a sad way to die that is, from something so correctable and really quite minor. What a loss for everyone.

I'm on Day Three of a bad Cold, the kind I used to get all the time as a kid, where my sinuses block off the tear duct drainage so that I get watery eyes and sinus-headache from Hell. And none of the OTC drugs I have on hand seem to be doing much at all. Tonight it seems to be backing off a bit.

It does help that The Roommate has finally given me a check for the past two months, so even if I get back to driving Lyft tomorrow (dubious) it'll be a short week paywise, but I'll be able to make the mortgage and the homestead will be saved once again.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh, man, JZ. I hope he gets better soon and maybe tells you what's going on a little more in the future. NO MORE NASTY SURPRISES FOR JZ UNIVERSE

Glad to hear that, Theo!

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Oh, JZ. I hope the hospital is able to get that under control quickly.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Oh man, JZ. Like you needed something else. Best thoughts to your dad!

All day, I felt like I had been peer pressured by the news elsewhere into wearing my puffy coat today, because it wasn't actually that cold. But then I had to walk home through a surprise blizzard! So that worked out. By blizzard, I mean probably not that much snow, but it was super windy.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

We got the mini-blizzard in NYC, too: [link]

It's in the comparatively balmy high teens here, but when I came home for dinner the sodas in my refrigerator felt warmer than my hands.

Our wings are not tired.

And... my dad's in the hospital

Parents! Sending healing ~ma in his direction. I'm sorry that this has added to your stress.
