It was in the 20s (F) here this morning, and I saw dozens of college students with bare ankles. It made me want to go full-on Victorian. Not that I think ankles are obscene, but when it's 20F it's time to put on some socks! I don't care what it does to your aesthetic.
I see adults every day outside with bare ankles!
And I've probably seen someone outside in shorts every day this winter, even the one where it was 5 degrees.
Bananas.
They changed the background color on their web dashboard. It's a high-contrast assault on my eyes now.
DARK AND GRITTY.
Or something like that. Do not want.
Ha, new x-kit is already on top of it.
Meeting from hell still going on+ whoa nelly cramps+ neighborhood wine night= attempt at a whole week without missing a swim thwarted. Only one of those things brings me any joy.
This January has sucked. I'm gonna try to right things next month.
Finally ended. And I didn't understand 1/10th of it.
Timelies all!
I have a purring cat in my lap. Maybe she can thaw my legs out. (Ok, it's above 0F, so I shouldn't complain. Still too cold...)
And... my dad's in the hospital, for a lingering infection that has lingered for the last three months, and I just found out from his girlfriend that he's actually had and been using a home O2 tank periodically for the last month and didn't tell anyone but her. January can super go shit in its hat and wear it.
JZ, I'm so sorry -- what a sad way to die that is, from something so correctable and really quite minor. What a loss for everyone.
I'm on Day Three of a bad Cold, the kind I used to get all the time as a kid, where my sinuses block off the tear duct drainage so that I get watery eyes and sinus-headache from Hell. And none of the OTC drugs I have on hand seem to be doing much at all. Tonight it seems to be backing off a bit.
It does help that The Roommate has finally given me a check for the past two months, so even if I get back to driving Lyft tomorrow (dubious) it'll be a short week paywise, but I'll be able to make the mortgage and the homestead will be saved once again.
