I am flying to New York tonight to go to a k-pop concert with a friend from the internet I haven't met yet, and Casper's continuing attitude towards me meeting friends from the internet remains hilarious. This morning's gems included, "Mom, if Chuck [her nickname for my internet friend] turns out to actually be a guy who is catfishing you, and you end up murdered, just know that I loved you."
Lol! Does she not know you've already met a bunch of us internet axe murderers? And SO HAS SHE! Mwhabahahah! (Is she jealous you are going to the concert and not her???)

I'm listening to Lucero and eating the most delicious plum (it was not in the icebox, though) and thinking about getting ready for work, although I would rather not. That's all I have today, except for how Caspar is adorable and I'm glad Laura is okay after her morning's adventure!

Casper was not jealous when I bought the tickets (this group is popular with "basic girls" and she likes feeling superior) but is rather jealous now that it's actually happening. I have promised her if her fave group comes to Chicago this year (which could happen) we will go.

Because I probably shouldn't post this on Facebook (it's not cool to post things about articles I edit before they're actually published) -- can I just say how this week is NOT THE TIME to assign me an article titled "Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault, and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder among Midlife and Older Women: Prevalence and Impact on Menopause Symptoms"?!?!?!?!?!?
That said, I suppose this is a damn good time for us to publish this article (though it won't be online for about a month). So it's needed, but god DAMN, do I not want to edit it. Jesus.

It is well into October, and the temperature just hit 91F here in NC. That is unacceptable. Not Kavanaugh-levels of unacceptable, but still annoying.
