That was good of you, Gud.
Well, when I suggested coming along and my daughter agreed right away I knew I had to come along.
She may wish to look into how to file for a protective order against the boyfriend, even if she never has to use the information.
That is a very good idea.
Also, I am not now, nor have I ever been a spy working for the GRU.
I guess I can say this much about why yesterday was a bad day. I basically was laid off of a job during the on-boarding process.
Fortunately, I had delayed my start date, so I hadn't given notice yet.
Oh no, Gud! I'm so sorry.
Oh I am sorry to hear that, Gud. Transitions suck.
I'm sorry, Gud. But I'm glad you hadn't given notice yet.
Yeah, that would have really sucked. Though I did arrange something else that's now a problem. That part I really can't talk about though.
I mean, you'd think you could at least get to your start date before getting laid off.
Also, I am not now, nor have I ever been part of the British government. Certainly not directly.
That's exactly what you'd say.
Sorry about the job situation. When husband finished his MBA, he had a job lined up and was in the middle of all his plans to move, and the company got acquired. He wasn't hearing from them, was chasing people down, and eventually got a hold of someone, who said "Oh, yeah, we got acquired, so there's no job for you." And he, understandably, was like, "WERE YOU GOING TO TELL ME?"

Wow, that's a whole other level of suck.
