Mal: You tell me right now, little Kaylee, you really think you can do this? Kaylee: Sure. Yeah. I think so. 'Sides, if I mess up, not like you'll be able to yell at me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I have my new plastic rectangle!

So jelly!

I have spent all morning creating a cipher wheel. This would be more fun if (a) I knew what I was doing; (b) it wasn't under a tight deadline.

That said I am now trying to build a Rebus into my Cipher Wheel (through cutouts on the moving rings). But I am limited to what I can cut out of magazines so right now I've got: Eye Nose Star.

I Star Nose!

No, wait I can find the number 2 and lips and then make Tulips.

"I Star Tulips!"

That star is not helping me.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Ears! I forgot about ears in a rebus.

H + [ear] = Hear.

I Hear Star Tulips

[star] + T = Start

Hmmm....

B + [eye] = Buy

Buy Her Tulips?

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Looks like a quiet weekend here. Supposed to snow, but I hope we don't get much.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

No plastic rectangle for me today.

brillig

I've just tried a mechanical gaming keyboard for the first time, and my god, this is nice. I just bought two of the same type, one for home and one for work. This is the typing I remember, keeping up with my brain with accuracy and speed. My current keyboard has the keys too close together and mushy enough that it's too easy to hit the neighbor. I've hated it since I got it. The mechanical one has glowy lights on it, too. It's such a gamer nerd keyboard. It's noisy, but I feel like my fingers are the servant of my brain again instead of flailing, useless things.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have hot water! Which I didn't this morning, so that's good. And the heat is kicking on finally, which seemed dicey earlier.

I have a horrible suspicion I caught a SCRUM training scum. I'm gonna blame senior management

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I'm gonna blame senior management

Always.
