We at least don't have to do daily stand-ups because all our devs are in France. But then that means that all of the reviews and planning meetings are early morning.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
Waterfall also had UI review built in. And specs to start a terminology list with.
Timelies all!
I have no idea what Agile is, other than a big pain in the ass for many people. Ah, well....
I'm very grateful I'm not in management. Though tech support is in the middle of more detailed classifications of the cases we work on. There are lots of messages going around with "What category do I put *this* one ins?"
Communications class was not terrible, I actually learned something interesting and the interactive parts were not as horrible as I feared, just small group discussion. I'm now trying to get a full day's work done in an hour and half, but fortunately I don't have much time-sensitive right now.
The senior person is (not actually, but e.g.) Buffy Claymore, and the junior person is Buffy Slaymore!!
Ha!
I have a work deadline and I'm trying to create a complex cipher wheel device that will be part of a game/puzzle. Of course now is the team the contractor decided to work Directly Outside the Door of my Nerdhole and Beat Things With Large Hammers, Drill (with Volume) and use a noxious solvent of some flavor.
This is like the Navy SEAL test where you have to do calculus while they spray a hose in your face.

Yay!
I don't think I want to know what agile is!!
Meanwhile my job is making me utterly batshit. But looking around, any new job wouldn't give me nearly as much vacation. So I soldier on, while screaming inside. ..last week wasn't even a full week. Dear god. How will I last??
Two different customers sent me orders after 4pm, one at 5:30! WHYYYYYYY
So today had some interesting turns....
I found myself directly contradicting my big boss of 7 months on his version of how the changes are going…had a coworker I haven't worked with in years then pipe up 'You can always trust Sara to lay it out as it is' and another 'Remember when she told (revered leader way back) NO, we can't do that?', had everyone turn and look at me (well, it was true)…& then hours later have the head of IT quote back to other leadership my critique of the dangers of implementation from above -and y'all woulda get it: it was 'show, don't tell' or else your audience won't buy in- and that was all way more visibility than I'm comfortable with. And that was just today.
It's supposed to be product owner training. Trainer is trying, but leadership has some serious ish to work out & funnily enough, it's all us lower level that are dragging them & this was their idea!
Hopefully won't get myself fired in the process. I am getting some useful things out of it beside upper mgmt gossip, but that is certainly juicy!
Y'all writers & doc people will be happy to hear that we're all in agreement, as is trainer, that throwing our documentation into the same process as dev is unwieldy & not realistic as it requires a more comprehensive view to be useful to the final audience.
