I've been out of the abbey two days, I've beaten a lawman senseless, I've fallen in with criminals. I watched the captain shoot the man I swore to protect. And I'm not even sure if I think he was wrong.

Eek, that's scary sj!

Today was madness with work. So much madness. Drama from Friday expanded today, just what I needed! But I also went to the PT and walked with one crutch! I mean, two is still easier, and my foot is def not happy to be supporting weight again, but in an expected way, not in a "oh shit I re-broke it" way or anything.

...and then I think I lost $10 and my bus card somewhere. It fell out of my pocket while I was at the PT, and I saw and went "oh, whoops!" and put it back in my pocket, I think? And now it's not in my pocket. Argh. Mostly because getting a new bus card is annoying!

But my sister cheered me with pics of her new puppy all day.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

meara, I'm glad things are coming along for you, and I hope you're not in too much pain.

She's completely unglued and making up her own facts to suit her crazy. It's exhausting and disconcerting to put it mildly.

ION, I love England. Celebrity Antiques Road Trip has a Scots-Indian chef named Singh with a scarlet turban, a kilt, and a heavy Scots accent.

In exciting mundane news, I found my bus card! (And the $10 with it, but I was less fussed about that) Yay! Thankfully I'd decided to wait until tomorrow to cancel it.

I'm confused. You say you love England, but all the things you mention are Scottish!

(I grew up in Scotland. We are very sensitive to confusion with larger southerly geopolitical neighbours. A bit like Canadians. Though actually a fairer comparison might be with the individual States that make up the US. It would be like calling all Americans Californians).

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Slipping and skipping to share this: at the library there is a three letter code to every cataloger, based on their initials and department/role. I just saw a record cataloged by one, HSQ.

Punishingly Intricate

I was counting the countries we've been to with my 12-year old friend Zoe (who I've traveled with a lot) and I made sure she counted our time in Scotland and England separately.

Our wings are not tired.

I found my bus card!

Woot! See, 2019 is turning things around.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I just saw a record cataloged by one, HSQ.

Holy shit!

I have several tiny triumphs in 2019 already, so I'm feeling optimistic.

I can only hope to never come across NGA and UST. Especially in the same room.
