I battle evil. But I don't really win. The bad keeps coming back and getting stronger. Like that kid in the story, the boy that stuck his finger in the duck.

Our wings are not tired.

Billy Porter needed to win so I could see more of his jacket.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm watching on delay so I can fast forward through boring bits and commercials.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Golden Globes, anyone? I already loved Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh, but now I really love them!

I'm still slightly boggled that he married Joanna Newsom.

I didn't get very far. I'll catch up today. Why boggled, David? They seem sweet together.

It's Monday! Zoe and I went for a nice morning walk before it gets too warm. Now bring on the work headaches. All the stuff people wanted to annoy me about the last couple weeks but didn't bother, about to hit.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Argh. Went to the gym this morning, and actually got finished with my little workout and shower in time to get to work practically on time, except the two miles of highway between the gym and work was backed up and I realized I didn't have my badge to get into the building so I detoured by my house, did not find the badge, got to work half an hour late, had someone let me in and found my badge on my desk. And I left my breakfast in the car. ETA and my computer glasses.

This is a stupid day and I would like to opt out of it.

Agree. Do not want Monday. Especially a five day week. Whyyyyyy?

Also I was thinking like "hmm, if my job is trying to screw mr over maybe I get a new one and have the gap when I was going to be on vacation in June?" And then I realized even if I could swing that with what jobs were available/offered, I would get screwed if I switch health insurance at the middle of the year, paging two deductibles! Hmm. I suppose in theory another job could offer a pay raise that would compensate for that. Maybe.

They do! They just seem to come from such very different corners of the entertainment industry. But then I'm still boggled that Kathleen Hanna (punk) is married to one of the Beastie Boys.

Because books.

Joanna Newsome's dress was the one that boggled me. That heart-shaped pinafore thing with the ruffles?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

The Beastie Boys were originally a punk band, and they were thoroughly embedded in the NYC punk scene. It's not like they had their punk cards revoked and weren't allowed to hang out any more after they broke as a hip-hop group.
