Giles: Stop that, you two. Riley: He started it... Xander: He called me a bad name! I think it was bad; it might have been Latin.

Adorable Freya!

Happy New Year, All!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So I haven't even been here an hour and a half, and have done some internetting during that time, and still feel like the work day should really be over by now? Good thing this is a short week.

January 2nd must be one of the most depressing days of the year.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

roasted cauliflower with a little tahini and it was SO DELICIOUS

This is my standard "Home alone for dinner and I don't really want to cook" meal! Chop up a cauliflower, toss with EVOO, salt, pepper, cumin, roast until browned and crispy. Blend tahini, garlic, lemon, salt, and thin with water until it's pourable.

Wednesday is my standing WFH day so I'm only half back at work, which is just about what I feel up to today, so that's all right.

I'm heading into the office today if only to water the plant on my desk.

Coding and Sleeping

Freya is gorgeous, Gud!

Yeah, she's really cute despite some scars here and there. The vet believes she still has some buckshot in her.

Wow, that cauliflower/tahini is probably a lot more cooking than I do 90% of the time. But then I'm always home alone? I need to decide if I want to try making the fancy bread, or if I just want to make the muffins again. I've never actually worked with yeast. But I did go buy the fancy orange flower water or whatever. (See? I save all my effort for baking. Though mostly cookies and brownies and not bread)

Also already done with today. Bleh.
