You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Happy New Year from Australia, everyone!

Our wings are not tired.

Bring on 2019.

Flurry of activity yesterday. Tesla made the employees a great offer to purchase the self-driving variety of models to be test drivers and my son (with parental assistance) bought one yesterday. The painful part was only that he was underwater on what he owed on his Jetta that he traded in. He'll save about $250 a month in fuel costs and he gets free charging at work so that is very cool. As is his blue Model 3.

Had a delightful dinner in Fort Lauderdale last night with Pix and ND. Well, the dinner was okay, but the company was delightful. Saw a bunch of fish including tarpon, but missed the manatees. DH saw a mamma manatee and baby but the rest of us missed them.

My sister is getting eyelid surgery this morning. My mother and other sister also had it. The whole family has super puffy eyelids which obstruct vision, and make eye makeup impossible. I get why they all had it fixed, but I am way too chicken shit to ever agree to surgery that isn't required. The foot surgery for my bunion was a horror and they didn't give me a choice on the appendix, but asking for it when I am not in pain, not happening.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy New Year to all! May 2019 be saner -- or at least crazy in a better way -- than 2018!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Happy new year, billytea!

Happy new year billytea! My morning is just getting started, a bit later than the rest of the week I've been off. Got invited to a last minute party so I do think I'll go out tonight, though I hadn't been planning to. Who knows if I'll stay out until midnight though?

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Happy Noodley Year, Buffistae!

I'm realizing we have very little in the way of NYE traditions. Used to be all about champagne and Thin Man movies.

We're not so much on the Black Eyed Peas.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

I am making lentils, because black-eyed peas are yuck and I do not have any.

I plan to clean, but so far that has only been putting dishes into the dishwasher and spraying nature's miracle where the foster dog peed.

I need to motivate, but I've only been up a little over an hour.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

I will happily make a pile of beans and rice tomorrow, but I don't actually like Black Eyed Peas, so I don't.

Spending NYE at home with pajamas and cats, and if I didn't have to leave the house to run an errand the pajamas would've already started.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I have plans to meet up with friends tonight, but since I have a cold and I got very little sleep last night, I don't know how far I'll make it.
