Our wings are not tired.

JZ, sorry to hear about your brother's pneumonia, how is the rest of his treatment going?

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Thank you, JZ. So much continued ~ma for your brother.

My other inlaws are coming over today, and I think I'll take a nap because now I'm exhausted and shaky.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm so sorry to hear about the family stressors and bad news.

Here's one more for 2018: My roommate, who was re-re-re-scheduled for her heart valve replacement tomorrow, just heard that her insurance company is balking at paying for it, so it's being postponed for what, according to my count, is the fourth time.

Why the insurance issue didn't come up before this... no one admits to knowing.

Our wings are not tired.

Clearly a new heart valve is elective surgery for vanity purposes. Also, insurance companies are the greatest evil.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Good thing we don't have faceless bureaucrats making life-or-death decisions in this country!

brillig

For fuck's sake . . . I want to know what kind of insurance the insurance company executives have.

Timelies all!

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Theo, FWIW, if the surgeon can be made to weigh in it may help. Not even faceless bureaucrats like getting yelled at by surgeons.
