You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

Merry Christmas everyone! We all went out for Christmas dinner at a Chinese restaurant. Tomorrow my brother's coming over and we're roasting a turducken. Or more precisely a chiduckey. They've taken a boneless chicken and stuffed it with a duck breast and a turkey tenderloin. Oh, and then wrapped it in bacon, which (let's be honest) hides a multitude of sins. So that'll be interesting.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it! I'm at my sister's. We're heading over to my niece 's today, as she's too pregnant to travel. In fact, I might become a great aunt while we're there.

Health ~ma to the Buffistas and Buffista-adjacent who need it.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Merry Christmas, Buffistas!

I saw my family over the weekend, so I'm blissfully free of any commitments today, and I'm sitting and watching Infinity War on Netflix.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Whoa, inverted turducken wrapped in bacon? I'll want to hear how that is.

Merry Christmas, buffistas! Had a bit of a holiday with my parents yesterday. My dad has, according to the latest diagnosis, arthritis in his spine that is irritating his nerves so he spends a lot of time either trying not to move much or sleeping, so we spent the day at their house. Mom and I put together a Savory Vegetable Cobbler which was quite delicious even though we managed to turn off the oven when started baking it (Mom's stove/oven has really badly designed controls) and had to basically cook it a second time. A very pleasant day.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

wouldn't that make it a bachiduckey?

Our wings are not tired.

No diet on christmas! I had peanut butter cookies with my coffee for breakfast. Now making my second lasagna with plans to taste test while cooking!

Seriously, DH has gone to basketball practice. He said they were going to make it light and fun, and short, for the players for Christmas. Athletes = weird.

They have practice on Christmas?! That's surprising.

I had some friend Christmas on Sunday but since I had a migraine and didn't go to the show, it didn't feel all that christmassy. And I chatted with my family yesterday, and am going to the movies with a friend today. Still doesn't feel holiday...but I'm consoling myself I have another week off work (woot!) so that'll be nice. And for breakfast I had a muffin I made (and froze) this weekend. There's a bakery in Portland that does this delicious roll called a "Gibassier", which seemed too complicated to make (yeast and proofing and whatnot!)but I found a recipe for Gibassier-inspired muffins. Not as good (I am not a fan of the muffin texture?) but still good. It's an anise and orange flavor, which is unusual but I really like
