I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I suspected as much. What a fun sentence to be able to say "I know that elf from band"

"I know that elf!" somehow is making me giggle.

I have work to do tomorrow, but then I"m off for the week! Well, honestly I may have to log in here and there. But. Hopefully not much.

I'm bored though. Wanted to go to an event, but none of my friends were going and I wasn't sure how easy it would be to hang out and mingle with strangers, as opposed to being shoved in a corner and feeling awkward on my scooter. Bleh. But I need human interaction! Gotta figure out things to do next week with people or I won't especially enjoy this vacation.

Figuring that out ~ma meara!

I am pretty excited to have 4 days off in a row with no plans whatsoever. Feels like it's been a while since I've had that kind of time to myself.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

I get Christmas Eve off and I'm taking the 26th off, and all of that will include family. Otherwise, I will be "working", since my manager failed to correctly explain our "unlimited" PTO to me. I could have pitched a fit if I'd really made plans, but it just means that my work computer will be turned on while I lie on the couch and watch TV.

Your unlimited PTO is not unlimited?

Our wings are not tired

DH was moaning yesterday that we should be on a cruise remembering Christmas past cruising.

I was looking at some of those pictures today and actually thinking the same thing.

I'm super tired and groggy, and really uninterested in doing any work today. I'm going to drink more coffee and listen to Janelle Monae to see if that improves my mood.

Listened to Jon on WMBR this morning which was quite amusing with Santa visiting. Bonus was it totally woke me up.

No, as she explained to me a couple of weeks ago, it just meant taking a day or two above what you had before. Which, I argue with the definition, but fine.

And after she sent me a sort of scolding email about the amount of time I was asking to take and the crucial work that could be done on December 26, 27, and 31 (yeah, right), and I rescinded my request, she said oh, yeah, I guess I had these conversations informally with the people in the office, but it never came up with you.

Fortunately (?) we're going back to non-unlimited PTO next year, so whatever. I'm not at all snippy about it, as you can see.
