Gud, there is nothing wrong with job hunting, even if you're not sure you want another job. It's good to know what your options are.

Ha, my low key whining yesterday worked better than I could have hoped - I am promoted to Senior Business Analyst and get a raise. So that's nice.
Yay, -t!!!
That's great, -t!!!
Yay -t!!! That's awesome.
Yay!!!
Awesome, -t!
and I'm feeling a little guilty, but I shouldn't, right?
Absolutely not! No doubt the reason she is taking back some appointments is because there are people who prefer her. When possible I book my nails with my SIL, but if she isn't available I choose from any of the others. No one feels any bad feelings about it.
Gud, change in the workplace is right near the top of the stressful events list. Feeling bad is normal and no one should make you feel it isn't. It is hard and you need support not criticism.
Go -t!!!!! Happy New Year! Woooooot!!
I am worried that I might be too old to get hired as a full time teacher (I'm 62). I have to finish my classes before I can even think of applying through this program, but it is a concern. I'm still going full steam ahead, but it's a worry. I love subbing and would do that forever, but the pay is low (10-12 dollars an hour) and there are no bennies. Our Obamacare coverage is starting January 1, but the deductible is so high that it has me worried.
Anyway, all the local markets are hiring, so I am applying for part time work as a cashier. It's a union job so has full benefits. I feel odd and kinda embarrassed about working at a supermarket, and I also feel bad about about feeling that way. There is a very cool local indie grocer right down the road I am applying to. if that doesn't work out, it's on to Krogers and Meijer.
