Here's an option if you're worried about your TP stock. [link]

OK, so that's the first time I've ever been tempted by fancy toilet paper. I mean, I didn't, but the A-Z packs... come on! How cute?

Epic, I hear you on all fronts. We are sisters in this.

Pulling for you, msbelle. Go, go, go!

In addition to going to the wrong doctor's office the first time around this morning, I almost ran out of gas (but did not), did run out of phone battery even though it was charging in the car, because I rely so heavily on GPS because of my deficient geography of the real world genes that I was running GPS. So, about half way back home from the doctor I don't go to that often, I was suddenly on my own, finding-one's-way-wise. But I did it! I am ridiculously proud of this accomplishment.

Sophia, I forgot to say, so awesome that you and you're new... half-boss?... are so in sync. Word of difference that makes.

I need to get me some lunch now. Many adventurings this morning make for a hungry Jen.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Our current STPR is around 30 rolls, and I try to have one unopened multi-pack on hand at all times. Every time I open a new 18-pack, I make sure to buy another one next time I'm shopping, which has worked out fine so far, even during The Great Toilet Paper Panic of March 2020.

Though lately Facebook has taken to showing me advertisements for family cloth, to which I can only say, no, no, hay-ull to the no, and why would you ever suggest such a thing to me, oh foolish FB algorithm?

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

Jessica, are you testing because you're sick/have been exposed, or to be safe for the holiday, etc.?

I was potentially exposed - my local rec center has reserved lane lap swimming (1 person per lane in 45 minute time blocks), and someone swimming in the same timeslot as me tested positive. They can’t reveal the gender of the person so I don’t know if we shared a pool (very low risk of exposure) or a locker room (also fairly low since the amount of time spent there is so short, but people tend not to put masks back on until they’ve dried off). So I'm in the NY State contact tracing system now, which mostly means responding to daily "are you sick??" texts and being scheduled for Covid testing.

We get a case of TP every month through an Amazon subscription, and every time I think "maybe we have enough" I worry about making it through the winter so it just piles up in the garage.

So cute! But I'm actually tempted by the bamboo paper. Like, the price per roll is more than I would ever pay at a store, but sustainability plus a worthy charity! I might just cave and order some...it IS payday...

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Last time I was in my local CVS has stacks and stacks of bamboo TP, but i just grabbed whatever Aldi had in 2 ply when I was there this week. Pre-COVID I would only buy 100% recycled content, which was not always in stock at my main grocery and never at Aldi.

I am almost done with task 1. ALMOST!

Task two is more tedious, but does not involve having answers for people's emails, so trade-off. Task 2 is also more important for reporting in the meeting tomorrow, so I WILL get it done.

Thrive to spite them

We never got close to running out. I meant to get to Costco this month and didn't but will next month for tp and other things

Because of all my problems with UTIs I finally started using a portable bidet so it cuts down on tp.

Epic, if you do, please report back how you like it.

Way to go, msbelle. You got this.

Having a mini-anxiety attack. I really hope I am mis-understanding something. I seem to be hearing that some employee time to be reimbursed by Fed $$ and similar time NOT to be reimbursed have the same payroll entries and the only thing to point/look at to say "this much time/these employee hours should be reimbursed" is a spreadsheet I am keeping and a file of PDFs I've saved?!?!?!?!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Since I am not as obsessive as my father about TP, our stash has about 2 months' worth of TP (24 of those mega-rolls that are supposed to be equivalent to 4 rolls). (I work from home, so I'm keenly aware of just how long it takes to go through a roll of TP.)

Our TP stash is like an emergency fund -- it lives in the basement in case of emergency, but while there's still TP at the store, we leave the TP stash alone and just buy more when the stuff in the bathroom is about to run out.

Historians will be fascinated by this in the future.

move out and draw fire

After a decade of living in places where a regular TP supply was not assured, I set up a subscription via Amazon. It delivered more than we used, so we had a surplus. In February when the box arrived, my DH was like "I think we have enough...can you cancel this subscription?"

WELL WHO LOOKS LIKE THE GENIUS NOW?!?!?

Also events sort of cancelled it for me.

I'm choosing to believe that people are spreading out their STPR purchasing over more weeks, so we won't get as much system shock, and that the TP companies have shifted how much "home use" they produce vs. how much "industry use" and it will be better this time.
