I think it got quite possibly the most negative reaction to an update since this occasion: [link].
Oh damn, that one was bonkers. The OP updated a couple of times, and mentioned that she was in counseling, which I think made the commentariat collectively say THANK GOD.
I'm on a shuttle and saw something move out of the corner of my eye, and flailed at the spider crawling on my jacket. Then I flailed it off my shirt where it landed, and NOW I DON'T KNOW WHERE IT IS.
It's GONE shrift. I firmly believe this.

It was such a roller coaster ride! There was the original post, and that was bad, and then the OP gave more info in the comments and it was SO MUCH WORSE, and then she comes in with the update that she's been fired and her entire team was shown the door and
she's still blaming the person they victimised
and that she doesn't get why everyone is so mean about it and she thought Allison would support her because she was the manager and the site is Ask a Manager and it's just wall-to-wall WTF; and then in the (new) comments she says she's in therapy, and finally seems to get it, and there's the final update that she's realised she just shouldn't be a manager and she won't be doing that again.
My gob, it was smacked.
Both of those updates are bananacrackers (as someone was saying over there, and I've decided I like as an alternative to batshit)
Apparently the team in singapore liked me enough and I'll now be working on a project there. Which is fine except I'm also still going to be working on a project where the main person is in europe. So...may have to start being good about carving out parts of my day in the middle?? I feel like that's harder than starting early or finishing late!
I don't really read Ask A Manager, but I was enthralled by that whole saga.
Ooh, that does sound challenging, meara. But maybe nice? Like, you could go to matinees and be at the gym when no one else is and run errands during business hours.
I am still working. Why. Why. Why did I come back from vacation?
Can this be real?
My team found her quietness and her ability to develop sales presentations and connect with each client was very show-off-like. When she asked for help, we didn't take it seriously because we thought she acted like she knew everything and she was making us look bad by always going above and beyond for no reason.
Sheesh.
So...workermen came and took off the back door to our apartment - which is where my nerdhole is. So I had to leave the house for the day after I cleaned out the back area (long overdue and needed), but it was weird having the place all open and exposed all day.
And it's not quite done because there's rot under the doorframe that needs to be addressed. Plus all the other units are getting new back doors, because...the old doors were crap to start with and are now old and crap?
On the plus side: cleaned out an area that needed cleaning and threw away a lot of stupid shit.
On the negative side: exhausting stressful cleaning before workers arrive PLUS coming down with Matilda's cold at the same time.
I just feel really fried.
Matilda is going off on a weekend trip with her friend Isabella (for her birthday) and Norah. They've known each other since Kindergarten but it's often been a weird triangulation so I'm holding my breath a little. Also, Isabella's mom is driving them to their cabin which is four hours away and in the snow and that is making me anxious. (Isabella's mom has been a bit of a flake historically, though I expect she knows how to drive to her own cabin.)
So again...fried.

Congratulations on not setting the shuttle on fire.
