Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Happy Birthday, Jess! And Happy 10th Anniversary, sj and TCG!

Tim's Covid test was negative, so that's a relief.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Happy Anniversary sj!

It's not "ah," it's "ay." Ay-myth, Ay-mitch, Ay-skye.

I stand with the cowgirl on this one. Glad to hear from the source that I've at least been mentally pronouncing the last one right all this time!

I groused here about my erroneous debt war with AT&T post-2007 move, right? It took 18 months to finally get them to admit in writing that I owed them nothing. The only way AT&T will ever see another red cent from me is if they dig up my grave and find loose change in the pockets of the suit I'm buried in.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Happy Anniversary, sj!

Happy Birthday, Jessica!

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

My boss’ husband has tested positive for COVID (mild case). She’s tested negative as have the kids. There’s supposed to be six of us working around a tomb less than 4’ tall on Saturday. We’re supposed to “let her know if we’re not comfortable.” So once again because one of my coworkers won’t follow CDC guidelines, I get to choose between potentially exposing myself or losing another day of work. UGH. And not just a coworker, the boss. Most of the time she’s amazing but… I really don’t feel she’s taking this seriously enough.

Ugh, that is a brutal choice. I'm sorry you have to make it.

Oh, also, I assumed their real names were Amy C. H. and Amy T. H., so was quite surprised to learn amyth's last name!

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Don't let your guard down. 2020 is determined to be a right dick all the way to the end.

Just got a call from my niece. My sister has Stage 3 breast cancer and just started chemo.

Bonus: Emmett's been exposed to Covid and has to quarantine. (First test was negative, so he should be okay.)

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

So once again because one of my coworkers won’t follow CDC guidelines, I get to choose between potentially exposing myself or losing another day of work.

Ugh indeed. I hope you’ll be able to stay safe and solvent.

Sweet Jesus, Hec. I hope chemo is as effective as possible with minimal side effects.

Sweet Jesus, Hec. I hope chemo is as effective as possible with minimal side effects.

She's scheduled for a double mastectomy and apparently this cancer is aggressive. Also she's in her late sixties, overweight and smokes so she's not really in a great place to fight this.

My niece is being positive but she hasn't watched anybody die from cancer. Doesn't know how to check off the actuarial table in her head and think, "Yeah, that's not a good combination with good odds."

What is even happening?

Happy Birthday, Jessica!

Happy Anniversary, sj & teacup guy!

Cass, I feel like your life lately has been full of big fights for things that shouldn't give anyone trouble. There was the move, your voting status, and now this AT&T screwery with the phone. Sheesh.

I stand with the cowgirl on this one. Glad to hear from the source that I've at least been mentally pronouncing the last one right all this time!

I assert my right as a Buffista to ignore authorial intent and discuss what comes across on the screen.

Just for clarification, my name is pronounced My-rickle-mang.

Like the above. Clearly.

Tim's Covid test was negative, so that's a relief.

I am so glad. It's ridiculous it takes this long to get results, and I'm sure this contributes to the spread.

Thank you for… everything, java.

I am heartbroken for amyth -- and Calli, and smonster, and KateP and all of you who are so close to amyth, and everyone who loves her, which is a huge group of people to have her kindness, caring, joy, fannishness, and love touch their lives so directly. (I remember a brief fannish squee with amyth over Gram Parsons back in lj days; it was lovely.)

And because we are us… it’s A-myth, A-mitch, and Askie to me.

I hope you have a lovely birthday, Jessica, and I hope you have a lovely anniversary, sj. Ten years? It does not seem like ten years since you shared your getting married pictures.

Cass, you go, woman. That is atrocious of AT&T. And I love the recall to the, “...it was white and looked like a tooth, so I ate it,” story. I love the fact of the b.org communal stories.

Health and recovery ~ma all around to those who have people sick and/or testing or, in smonster’s case, dealing with people who aren’t taking things seriously enough. I’m glad for the negative results reported so far, too. And, Hec, all kinds of good health and recovery vibes for your sister.
