My mom and my sister both love Christmas music, so I'm always out of any Christmas song game. My personal game is to see how many times I can listen to "Do They Know It's Christmas?" before I flip out like a mammal.

I have no idea what this "Whamageddon" y'all are talking about is.
I find I am 1000% okay with that.

I'm amazingly not hearing that much because I haven't been driving a lot. And I surely don't go to malls.
Thanks, but no thanks. I'm going to sit here happily in my "we don't even have a mall" non-radio bubble.
(One day I'll be on b.org long enough not to have to google LDB every year. Not this year, though. I just keep forgetting).
I can't remember hearing the Wham song, which means I may be out or not -- Schrodinger time, indeed. But I'm still playing for LDB, despite being in several venues where Xmas songs are run incessantly.
Last year I got LDB'd as I passed a cigar bar that had music piped outside. Recently, a columnist posted a list of the worst 10 of 100 seasonal songs ... LDB was #100 (lower/worse than Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer).

I really dislike LDB, but it's not worse than Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. That columnist is sadly mistaken.
Yeah, I have heard some really nice versions of LDB, never of Grandma Got Run Over.
To be fair, I do think the Bing Crosby-David Bowie version is kind of lovely.
