Oh Tep— much Tim ~ma your way.
Also, spent my morning smacking someone who went onto a friend’s wall and attempted to very rudely harsh their joyful buzz. He was very superior about the fact that since no cities had been looted and burned since Biden’s (illegitimate) victory, then we knew who was behind all the destruction this past summer.
I not-so-gently pointed out who, exactly, had been brandishing weapons and shutting down highways in blatant voter intimidation and suppression tactics to which he loftily replied that BLM videos were all over YouTube, so I could see for myself who was destroying cities.
I rather enjoyed telling him I was from Seattle and what he could do with his YouTube videos.
Tim did just run up to the urgent care and they gave him a Covid test. He thinks he should have the results in 48 hours. (Actually, what he said was "I might not have been listening when they said I'll have results, so...48 hours? Does that sound right?" Sheesh, my dude.)
He said the doctor at urgent care thinks it's more likely a generic virus and not Covid. But being tested was a good idea.
Oh, Tim. Well, I hope he didn’t miss anything y’all need to get the results.
Y'all. An old FWB of mine just got real chatty for no good reason.... oh, it turns out he is separated from his wife! Frigging classic.

Right? I'm sure it'll be fine, but he does sometimes miss important shit like that.
When I had my Covid test last week (guy who sits right behind me in the office had it) they said they wouldn't contact me for a negative result, though I could sign up for their online portal to see the results either way (which I did and they were negative, thankfully.) Hopefully wherever Tim got tested is a little more patient-friendly and will contact him regardless.
Digits crossed for Tim to have some garden-variety bug and not the 'rona.
I'm going to have to cross the local poke bowl place off my take-out options. When the pandemic started they were the shining light of taking proper precautions, but now instead of having their take-out desk at a convenient window where people can wait outside in the fresh air to pick up their orders, it's in the middle of the restaurant, with a pitiable little plastic sneeze guard, and no line of sight between the indoor customer waiting area and where all the employees are putting orders together. They were surprised by the dinner rush (gee, more people want to order out at dinner time than in the middle of a sunny Sunday afternoon, who could have guessed?) and so overwhelmed by seven orders that we were all shuffling around trying not to get too close to each other as more and more people came inside.
I was sad because we JUST re-started some in-person classes last week, and as we have not receive Covid test results for the baby, I wasn't going to be able to go in tomorrow. But then I got an e-mail that in-person classes are canceled for the entire 11th grade (all I teach tomorrow) anyway because one kid was positive last week and had contact, over the course of the day, with over half the class.
I fucking hate this virus. I miss my real job.
Yikes, Gris. That sounds awful.

Hah, very. Also, I feel like Covid makes it even more obvi somehow?
