Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My plan is to go home and watch DVDs to avoid any possible interruptions by the so-called news. I recently received the "Judgment at Nuremberg" I'd ordered a while ago ... it seemed uncannily relevant.

Welp, we have collected approximately 4,372 reusable grocery bags. Kind of defeats the purpose a bit, I think. I've whittled the car down to 4 big Aldi bags and two "burlap" Acme bags that are more than adequate for all of our grocery/shopping needs. I've wrangled the rest into three groups/bags. Is there anything responsible I can do with them? I'll check to see if I can donate them somewhere, but it seems like a thing people want to get rid of but isn't especially useful to other people/organizations.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jen, check with your library. If they are doing curbside pickup, I'll bet the bags would be welcome.

We are Buffistas. This isn't our first apocalypse. -- Pix

I think I'ma clean the house, take a nap, maybe get on a zoom call with some old fannish friends. I cut out of work at noon, knowing I could not concentrate.

At least I had a healthy lunch: sauteed broccoli & farro. Nom.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Or local food pantries could use them.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I took yesterday, today, and tomorrow off work because I knew I'd be a nervous wreck. I've avoided most news sources, Twitter entirely, a bit of FB and spent the day doing mostly useful things like setting up doctors appointments before our insurance changes and vet appointments.

I plan to start making some bread. Possibly a cheesecake. And play Among Us. Because that's just mindless fun.

Lunch was some nummy gumbo my boss gave to me since he made it before he closed the cafe behind the comic book shop in March and it was just sitting in the freezer.

Thank you Cash and Steph. I just googled, and both came up as ideas - duh that I didn't think of that.

I swear the Buffista Hive Mind is better than Google. We're WAY prettier.

I just made our Lands End order for winter. Say hello to my little friends. [link]

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Shiny necklace! Cozy slippers! This is the content I need right now.

I have a terrible headache, probably because I can’t stop clenching my jaw. TCG had a meeting last night and another tomorrow night. So, he’s in charge of figuring out dinner.

Those slippers are adorable. And, yes, the Buffista Hive Mind is a thing of beauty.

I need to get myself a winter coat that fits, LL Bean reminds me. Though I think my last one, the perfect coat, a hundred years ago, is not an option anymore. But I'll check.
