It's all about choices, Faith. The ones we make, and the ones we don't. Oh, and the consequences. Those are always fun.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm broke down halfway home. Didn't notice the car was L O W on gas, so that may well be It.

Ack! Theo! Do you have AAA or something similar?

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

I also just blew a chunk of money on a necklace I've been ogling for a while, because today's email gave me a royalty statement. (The book is still earning royalties! Wheee!)

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

That's pretty! glad to hear the book is still rewarding you ... royally. I occasionally see someone in goth-y attire and think, ah yes ... a baby bat!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

Oh no, Theo! I hope help is on the way?

Very cool, Atropa, both the necklace and the continuing existence of royalties to pay for it!

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

My plan is to go home and watch DVDs to avoid any possible interruptions by the so-called news. I recently received the "Judgment at Nuremberg" I'd ordered a while ago ... it seemed uncannily relevant.

Welp, we have collected approximately 4,372 reusable grocery bags. Kind of defeats the purpose a bit, I think. I've whittled the car down to 4 big Aldi bags and two "burlap" Acme bags that are more than adequate for all of our grocery/shopping needs. I've wrangled the rest into three groups/bags. Is there anything responsible I can do with them? I'll check to see if I can donate them somewhere, but it seems like a thing people want to get rid of but isn't especially useful to other people/organizations.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Jen, check with your library. If they are doing curbside pickup, I'll bet the bags would be welcome.

I think I'ma clean the house, take a nap, maybe get on a zoom call with some old fannish friends. I cut out of work at noon, knowing I could not concentrate.

At least I had a healthy lunch: sauteed broccoli & farro. Nom.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

Or local food pantries could use them.
