Chocolate has caffeine

Although I like your breakfast of champions, dcp

Didn't think through that whole "don't buy Halloween candy since I won't have trick or treaters" decision

Six fun sized almond joys is a healthy Election Day breakfast, right?

I vote yes. (See what I did there?)

The mobile experience is so amazing now, Gud. Which is not to say the laptop ain't grand, too, because it is, but, wow, the mobile is so different and great.

Our wings are not tired.

I am here while performing my official deputy duties. Had a dozen people at poll opening but very sporadic since then. Fabulous weather and I am outside so a perfect day.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

The skies over New York are full of ridiculously ominous clouds. Like, come on atmosphere, don't be that way. If this were a movie it would be about 20 minutes before the aliens invade.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

It took a while to get logged in, but I finally achieved Board.

I did not, however, achieve a vote. I moved and had to re-register since I'd gone from one ward to another. The registration did not, um, register. I kind of expected it, since when I first moved to DC it took something like six years of registering (and re-registering and re-re-registering) to finally be able to vote. It's frustrating but, since DC is solidly blue - and there's no Congressional representation in question - I guess it's not going to have much impact. But it's annoying to have even less of a franchise than usual. Can't even vote on whether to de-criminalize using magic mushrooms.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I voted. There was no line, but there never is here.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Hey, it's here! A new place where the old place used to be!

I've got work AND a doctor appt today, so it's a good thing I voted a week ago. I think I'm going to avoid most of the news, only turn it on hourly to check the latest returns, and order a big bucket of KFC.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

order a big bucket of KFC.

Damn, that sounds really good. Must be getting close to lunchtime here.

Mr. Scola’s wardrobe by Botany 500

As a city employee, I have the day off today. So my big decision was do I go and vote now, or do I eat Second Breakfast and then go and vote?

I decided that I needed extra energy for such a momentous vote.

Good call, Scola. One does not simply walk into Mordor without Second Breakfast.

I am super antsy and unable to focus. More than usual, even!
