The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Oh, yeah, game development companies are notorious for overworking people, right?

AHAHAHA. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Blizzard especially.

I'm talking to a guy from Blizzard Entertainment tomorrow about a potential role. I'm not sure exactly why he contacted me, but I'm curious enough to have a quick call. I think this has about a 99.5% chance of going nowhere, especially since I don't hear great things about working for them.

always take the meeting. never know when you might cross paths again.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

So 3 states now have already surpassed their 2016 TOTAL voting #s: Hawaii, Montana, and Texas. These states are over 90%, so unless tomorrow is almost no one voting they will also pass: Colorado, Georgia, Florida, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Tennessee, Washington, and Washington D.C,

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

We just got an email from the Medical Center CEO about our preparations and increasing numbers, even in Western NY, and reminding people to socially distance in the cafeteria. We also got the mandate to update our training course about retraining COVID for nurses. The good news is that there have been so many advances in treatment and care that they are predicting far fewer cases who need ventilators, and better recovery on a medical surgical floor, rather than increasing ICU beds. So more people sick, but fewer people dying.

I am taking advantage of being allowed to go into work many days, because I am terrible at working from home. It is so easy to just lay in bed and cuddle with my cat.

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe

I am terrible at working from home. It is so easy to just lay in bed and cuddle with my cat.

Having a cat who hates cuddling and violently demonstrates the depth of that hatred makes it VERY easy to not loaf around cuddling the kitty.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

To be fair to Hawaii, we went all-mail-in for the first time this year (already planned before COVID). We also have competitive mayoral races on 2 of the most populous islands, so there's actually a point in voting in the general, which most years, it's hard to make that case.

I wish that the DoE would show that kind of foresight and planning. Having to give us 2 weeks notice before changing things was a struggle.

We have a home office, so that helps, but if DH manages to get a job, then things will get interesting, logistics-wise. But that is a problem I'd be entirely happy to have.

Our wings are not tired.

I've worked from home for years now but generally stopped by my doctors' offices at least once a month to say hi and see how things were going. Always got a super warm welcome and it was nice to be greeted with joy. Now all of them only want to see me if there is an emergency that can't be handled remotely. They don't want me to be where sick people hang out. I think I have been on one visit since last spring.

Got my precinct set up this afternoon. Tomorrow is going to be a very long day, but they were hopeful that it won't be too overwhelming because of the level of early voting. But all are willing to stay as long as it takes.

Made the drive down to Portland, in hotel with puppy. Hoping he doesn’t pee on the carpet. Or bark a ton.

Hotel room has no tv, so I can’t binge in the same way. Which is probably good.
