NGL, flea, with a year-and-a-half old and no access to out-of-household childcare, a captive, non-driving 18 year old sounds hella useful. We even have a separate-entrance in-law suite downstairs.
We should probably put together our cards for this year, but, theres not a surfeit of energy around here (except from the toddler)
The new board is weirdly white (I had my CSS set to grey), but verra nice.
Sounds like we should do a Buffista child exchange -- put 1-3 kids in a box, ship it around. Kidless recipients get their choice of one, send on the rest. (I'm not sure if I'll take a toddler or one older. Both grammar school and high school are in easy walking distance...)
This week is going to be a hundred days long.
Consuela, I didn’t know her fandom name, but I posted a link in Literary earlier. So sad I really enjoyed her presence on Twitter, and she was so hopeful about getting better until recently.
New board! Thanks for all your hard work, Gud. It looks like it's all come out well.
Matilda is crying because her homework assignment is to watch a David Attenborough video, and it's showing animals dying. And that's basically like snuff porn horrible to her.
Is it a specific one, or does she get a choice?

I didn't realize how much I'd customized my CSS on the old board until we switched (font size, spacing between user info & tagline, spoilerfont color), but this version is SO much better on mobile I don't even mind.
I'm fiddling around with adding some basic theming. At the very least I hope to get customizable background color, accent color, and spoiler font color available at some point.
wow … new BOARD smell! thanks Gud! it's nice! going to take a little getting used to, but I appreciate the hard work.
There were people in DC who did inventive candy delivery systems.
Is it a specific one,
Specific. Oh well, she survived it and finished her homework.
She got straight A's on her report card, but online school has been hard for her. And despite our good numbers and rumors they would reopen classes in November, they've pushed reopening back to January.
One of the only things I dislike about her school is the paucity of arts programming. But starting today she's taking a jewelry making class with her friend Iris through Parks and Rec.
Welp. After 2 months of hybrid school with fewer than 5 isolated Covid cases, (participating students have been going in 2 days/week in 2 alternating cohorts), students in our district were dismissed today at 11:30 due to potential Covid exposure at ALL of the schools. I am so relieved my kids are both enrolled in the 100% virtual option.
