I'm afraid GOP may steal the election, too. But if they don't, I'm afraid there won't be enough downvoting to get rid of enough of them that they throw obstacles in the way of everything Biden and co--I'm sure he has a cabinet and chief officers ready to go. I want him to stop, repeal, roll back and correct as much as possible on go, and then get to work on rebuilding. And I'm afraid the GOP will sabotage every effort.
Voted! Drove downtown to the collection box. A young woman parked, got out and walked quickly to the box, took a pic of her ballot and one of her face and her hand sliding her ballot into the slot. There were two walkups next who dropped their ballots in with a big smile. And then H dropped both of ours in the box. Felt really good. I can track them online. I wish everybody had the same easy access to voting as we do.
All is well with DP.
Yay for ruling out bad stuff.
Woo for Voting!
My prediction. Landslide Biden win. A couple weeks later, after no lawyers will work for him to challenge election, Trump resigns for family reasons, gets Punce pardon, and flees country to hide from NY authorities.
Alas, we still have to wait until January to get any relief or direction. And who knows how much damage McConnell will do in the meantime.
I think pie for breakfast is fine. It can't be that much different from eating a cinnamon roll or a Danish.
There is not enough pie in my life. This reminds me that I never had pie at my favorite diner when I was up north for the summer. I did go to the diner twice, but ate boring breakfast stuff, not pie. Well, not really boring as they have homemade bread so the French toast was pretty extra yummy.
Summer usually involves lots of going out to restaurants and movies and events. Next summer, maybe?
I don't have pie, but I did just have an apple cider donut for breakfast.
I have oatmeal again, but I'm going to look up baked oatmeal recipes today.
Yum. DH has joined me on the serious diet boat so he had an oatmeal creation and I had a bullet drink getting our fiber/protein/MUFA measures met in a tasty way. I do have apple cider in the fridge so I'll enjoy some of that later.
Oh, I did a quick Google on baked oatmeal recipes. Oh my! Some of these look really good.
I made pancakes, close enough.
I have to say, I've tried like 500 pancake recipes in my life, but the Joy of Cooking Four Grain Flapjacks are still my absolute favorite. Strong recommend.
I had to google MUFAs! I know the concept, but I didn't know the acronym. Yay DH for joining you on the health wagon. DP is working his way pretty well around to it now, too, with recent blood tests and diagnoses. I am trying to align our eating habits to what will suit him best, because, well, it'll suit me best, too. Crazy how that works. And we're starting an evening walk routine to ease into more physical activity. All to help avoid, you know, an evening ER routine.
Joy of Cooking Four Grain Flapjacks are still my absolute favorite
Different, but for some reason that reminded me of the cornmeal pancakes that IHOP had for a short while. They were so good! I was sad they were only a blip on the radar.
