Well, apparently my uncle has COVID. My aunt tested negative, but who knows. He's very old and in poor health, so probably not good. Sucks for my cousins, but they're all grown with children who are all at least 10 or so.
Also the wine fridge I got off buy nothing seems to not work. Now *i* have to get rid of it! Grr.
Sorry about your uncle meara.
Can I have some general adjusting new things /job role ~ma tomorrow?
I'm having some issues, mostly with communication and either asking too many questions or then not enough.
Part of it has to do with being told information from someone else and acting on it only to be corrected by the person with the most experience (and thus the one who is kinda in charge them ) because I wasn't given enough information.
Plus I'm at that point where it's more social than it has been with co workers I don't know well so there is that awkwardness for me.
All, the -ma, askye.
It's going to be a little uncomfortable for you, but I know you have the skills and experience to make this work.
You know this job - way better than most people. You'll be fine if you can just slow things down.
Lots of ~ma, askye.
And ~ma to your uncle and family, meara.
(And general ~ma to Buffistas, in case I missed anyone coz skimming).
Work~ma, askye.
Health~ma for your uncle and those around him, meara.
Man, I woke up at 2 am with disturbing dreams about serial killers. Not oddly hot Norse men either. Just schluby midwestern dudes who (spoiler font for disturbing content)
liked to keep women in their attics and eat them.
I was awake the rest of the night. Good thing I don't have to do much today except clean the apartment.
Definitely disturbing. The only odd detail I recall from my dreams last night is finding a lost novel by Mark Twain, about the English Civil War. Um?
Work~ma, askye. Also, what David said.
I'm sorry, meara. This disease is so devastating.
Our aunt who has been home recovering for months just broke her ankle in 3 places and just got back from surgery. That likely ends her hopes for ever working again, not that she should have been considering it anyway, but nurses are often dedicated fools.
My stay in Otter Lake is rapidly coming to an end. Son is settled into his apartment. No hope that I will have any relaxation time though. My last few days will be spent cleaning, organizing, packing, and closing up the place for winter. Grateful I had the 2 days in Maine. I should have relaxation time when I get back to Florida since I will be far more isolated there than I am currently in the mountains since I won't leave my house!
So one son is staying up there?
meara, I'm sorry to hear about your uncle.
askye, good luck today.
Laura, when do you go back home?
