I'm sorry for your loss, sj.

Off-topic discussion. Wanna talk about corsets, duct tape, butt kicking, or physics? This is the place. Detailed discussion of any current-season TV must be whitefonted.
I'm sorry, sj.
I did not watch the debate. I occasionally checked out KB Spangler's twitter feed, as she does good recaps of that kinda thing. Her thread starts here: [link]
Is there a reliable source of how much time each candidate spent speaking? I was googling earlier but couldn't find it.
I'm pretty sure Pence spoke over her or the moderator more than Harris did.
I'm sorry for your loss, sj. Wonderful aunts are treasures.
I didn't watch the debate; I've voted, and I just can't make myself do it. Maybe if I had a valium scrip or something, but I don't.
I'm sorry, sj.
I feel a little bad for Susan the Moderator but I also feel like having someone from USA Today moderate is weird? Do I have an unfair opinion of USA Today's seriousness?
I'm so sorry, sj. My grandmother shared your great aunt's name. She would have been 91 today.
ION: Panel went well, but without captioning. The person who was supposed to it had a computer malfunction and wasn't able to caption. I am now wondering if I should pay him something for a job he didn't do.
My issue with Susan Page as a moderator is that she hosted a "Girls' Night Out" event at her home, in honor of Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Administrator Seema Verma in November 2018. And we, dear taxpayers, picked up nearly $3,000 for the consultant, Pam Stevens, who helped organize it. Page probably put upwards of $5,000 of her own cash for the do. WaPo -> [link]
Also, she wasn't good at moderating. In theory, I get how it must be intimidating to silence a sitting POTUS or VPOTUS. I do not get how they didn't just lay down the law, like, "Mr. Pence, if you continue speaking, you will forfeit the next question."
Also, according to CNN, Pence spoke for 3 seconds more than Harris.
According to CBS, it was three minutes, not three seconds. Pence spoke for 38 minutes, and Harris spoke for 35. That seems more in line with what I witnessed.
I'd also like to deduct the time Senator Harris had to: remind Pence she was speaking; it was her turn; the time it to Harris to recover her train of thought, after Pence' interruptions.
Pence interrupted Harris 10 times. Harris interrupted Pence 5 times, according to CBS, too. Without having kept count, that tracks with what I saw.
