Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I will take all the (decent) watermelon.

Cats to become a rabbit should gather immediately now here

I think my melon weirdness is that I really don't hate anything. I can eat many weird foods that other people hate. It is really JUST melon that I hate, and I also hate that it infects the rest of the fruit salad and makes everything taste like melon. Why do the strawberries have to taste like cantaloupe???

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I like melon, which is odd because when I was a kid I hated honeydew and cantaloupe.

I've watched way too much cable news today. My family is not convinced he's really sick; they think it could be a way to get him out of the debates and also raise the stock price of Regeneron which he owns stock in (I don't know for sure that he does) if he takes it and is miraculously "cured". There's already so much misinformation coming out of the WH, who knows what's true.

But he hasn't tweeted, and the video supposedly made at the hospital has at least one bad edit when probably they cut out him coughing. Makes me think he's really sick.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel that way about strawberries. I've never liked strawberries. Even when picking them straight from my grandparent's garden. I hate that all the smoothie mixes in the store have strawberry in them.

I'll bet the docs at Walter Reed wouldn't let him have the cell phone with him (or his staff used that as an excuse to take it away).

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Makes me think he's really sick.

He's had heart palpitations and fever up to 103. He wouldn't be getting an experimental drug if he weren't at least Moderately sick.

Omg did y'all see that Harrison brought his own plexiglass screen to the debate with Graham?!?!?

Thrive to spite them

I've been watching clips of the debate -- Harrison is not letting up on Graham at all. Graham called Democrats nuts and Harrison started his response with saying the first thing you do if you want to work with someone is not call them nuts... and on something else he pointed out that Graham has only sponsored 3 bills that became law in 25 years.

I did! And he totally schooled Graham in the debate.

There was no way I thought we'd be competitive in SC, but it's neck and neck right now.

I was curious and looked up Graham's last election. He won easily. In the polling he was up by something like 16 points.

He and Harrison are pretty much tied.

The last Democrat to hold this seat lost in 1956. And the last Democratic senator for SC was voted out in 1966.

I escaped reality for a few hours watching Call the Midwife—I read the first book many years ago but never got into the show. But I'm digging it. Soothing. British. Old timey. Doesn't really require following super closely (because my attention span and cognitive abilities are minimal right now).

But it did make me want to hunt down Plei and make her teach me how to do my hair like the main character. Except sadly doing my hair that way would not magically make me look like her and be slim and wearing lovely 50s skirts like her either!
