I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I generally try to practice compassion, but I do hope that man suffers. And if he just shuts up and stays out of sight for a while, that might go a long way.

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I have a non-Roomba that I still haven't set up - don't ask how long - in my defense, the house is so cluttered, I'm afraid it won't be able to get anywhere. Which, now that I think about it, as a defense does not actually make me look better, I suppose.

"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

If my Bible-thumping relatives say anything to me about Twitler being the "chosen one" I'm going to point out that he was struck with a plague within a couple days of refusing to condemn white supremacy and calling out to gun-toting Neo-Nazis to stand by for him, and how I recall a few precedents for similar things happening to wicked rulers in the Old Testament.

Apparently Jesus said "Look, I'm all for forgiveness and everything, but even I only have so many cheeks to turn!" and woke his dad up from a peaceful nap.

Yes, I hate that my policy of never wishing anyone ill has become a thing of the past for the last 4 years. At least I don't wish him dead (because it might garner GOP sympathy for the election, not because I've improved as a person, but, hey, baby steps!)

ET - my plan re: clutter and the non-roomba is to get one room cleared and set the machine loose in there - and hope that inspires me to get other rooms ready. The kitchen is pretty ready as-is.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Another difference between me and Trump? My latest COVID test was negative.

Our wings are not tired.

I have a number of blockades to keep my non-roomba from getting stuck under things. It's a bit of a process, but worth it.

Woo for negativity!

Occasionally I’m callous and strange

Found a silver lining to celibate state: every few months someone in the dna unit (where I work) will need a variety of body swabs for validation or training purposes. And I can reliably contribute semen free vaginal samples. (Usually the specific need are semen fee vaginal swabs, and semen samples. I can't help with the second, but there are plenty of semen-producers working here. Also, that kind of bizarre discussion is one of the reasons I love working here. We are so very clinical about our bodies that it de-stigmatizes lots of topics that would be totally Unacceptable at most workplaces. Except, uh, all my previous workplaces. Or maybe I just don't give enough fucks about filters?

I look more rad than Lutheranism

Even if we take as given that Donald Trump's baseline level of health isn't robust, I am stunned that he got Covid while my father, who is a walking medical journal with about 80 billion diseases AND works at a grocery store, still doesn't have it. I really thought my dad would have Covid by summertime. But as far as we know, he's still fine (or at the very least, aymptomatic), and Trump is not. Blows my tiny little mind.

(I'm not really being nice to Trump, here; I'm just shit-talking my dad.)
