I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

aurelia, we have spider plants and sansiveria (aka snake plant) in our house with two kitties and they work wonders. I also have a ficus which gives a nice variation.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I guess I always thought an aspidistra was a spider plant! Due to all the similar letters???

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I think I was picturing some sort of smallish tree. For no particular reason, just generic plant image. Pretty sure my mental image of a ficus is equally inaccurate.

::checks Google::

Yep, that is not what I thought at all

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

consider the cast iron plant Aspidistra elatior

That may be big for the space I have.

Comparing this allergy info [link] [link] with the various pet-safe lists I've found it's looking like a spider plant or prayer plant. Since the spider plant is mildly hallucinogenic for cats (though non-toxic) I was looking for alternatives. At least I'll be home to see how much effort they put into reaching it.

I've never heard of prayer plants before, although I think I've seen them. Pretty.

That's a bummer the bromeliad bothers you, they are just so cool.

It looked lovely on my shelf, but extreme sneezing is frowned upon these days. And it's not all that fun.

"And that's why God Almighty gave us fire insurance and the public defender".

Morning, insomniacs and people who will see this post in usual business hours.

I am stressed and I've been stressed since yesterday noon. I think I am re-discovering that even if I do my best to do everything I can to do all the chores and tasks and work and school and asking friends how they are, it still doesn't help with the politics or the pandemic numbers to be any better.

Aw Shir. You can only do what you can do. I'm sure you're doing a lot and helping yourself and others. Make sure you leave time to help yourself though!!

If that doesn't make sense it's because it's 1am and I woke up after sleeping a few hours and decided it is boiling hot in here and had to move the fam, and then move it again, and now am waiting to feel cool again. It's actually 73 in here, which isn't boiling, but is still too warm in my book.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Huh... so THAT's where I got "I'm not making this up, you know" from. A favorite catchphrase for me, because really, there is so much downright weird stuff out there that goes against the logic that we think we know.

Yes, sorry.
