Did I get the stuff I planned to get done today done? No. But I did get stuff that unexpectedly came up today done, and at least one of my usual Monday/Tuesday tasks, so I'm thinking that's enough.

Fuck Cancer. One of my best friends from college who had leukemia close to 20 years ago had a round of colon cancer and for the last five years living with and treating metastasized colon cancer on her liver. Today she learned one spot has grown 1 cm since June, so they are scheduling a new round of chemo. Her dad died of pancreatic cancer 10 years ago. Her mother-in-law of breast cancer. It just this cloud that is never gone for long. FUCK FUCK FUCK IT.

Don't you hate it when you discover that something wasn't done right over a certain length of time so you have to take the time and fix it now before it gets even worse and you want to be pissed off at the person who effed it up but it was you so you have nowhere to direct your ire?

One of my long-time friends here is Covid-positive along with his spouse, so my fingers are crossed for them both.
I noticed my foot hurt less as the day went on, and I think the reason is the pressure from the sock & shoe helped reduce the swelling, so I'm going to try wrapping the foot overnight and see if that helps. Right now my foot is hella-itchy under the bandage, so this may not be a viable solution.
