I had this conversation recently like, "We just went in to vote in the presidential primary?? Like it was nothing?? Yes, it was March 3."
Yes, and here in Nashville it was also the day after a tornado ripped through our neighborhood and several polling places were closed due to damage, so everyone voted in one location. The lines were crazy -- I waited at least 2 hours, maybe more -- but also people were chatting and checking in with friends and neighbors and there was this great sense of the community pulling together to help each other out. Then just over a week later, lockdown.
Now I just need to figure out how to scan this IRS letter with my phone
The TurboScan app is pretty good.
OMG, Kate, that's right! Wow.
ignoring all voting talk - EVERYTHING WILL BE FINE - lalalal
I bought this dress from Land's End and it came today and I want to order like 5 more because it may be all I wear all winter. [link]
I found internal recommendations for this tax person through work, so I'm glad I called and got the ball rolling. I don't have the spoons to respond to the IRS on my own, but I can handle scanning and uploading documents and paying a significantly smaller bill to someone who knows what he's doing.
The TurboScan app is pretty good.
Thanks, aurelia! I'll check it out.
I support that plan, msbelle.
Yours too shrift
Looks comfy, msbelle! (For you - I could wear a tank top practically all winter as long as my feet and legs are warm, so not for me). Enjoy! It's good to have a plan.
Also yay for a plan, Shrift! That's one of my favorite things about being a "grownup" - figuring out which things it's worth it to pay someone to deal with so I don't have to.
Oh, hey didn't see the link - I love a sweatshirt dress!
ltc is officially at that age when she freaks out whenever TCG and I kiss each other. This is going to be fun.
t evil laugh
apparently Graham is asking for help and money because of how close the race is in SC. I am trying to be optimistic that he can lose but right now this is more a race Graham is working to win rather than one where the election is more a formality.
I love how he went on the Fox network to beg for campaign money. (The FCC still mandates equal time for non-purchased appearances of political candidates, doesn't it? Jamie Harrison should get right on that.) And whine about voters hating his guts—as if he has any!
