Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Ugh.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Is anyone else getting the "This is an apology call from your utility" scam a dozen times a day?

Where do you come from? Where do you go? What is your scene, baby? We just gotta know.

Oh, yes.

"...and then Legolas and the Hulk destroy the entire Greek army." - Penny Arcade

Haven't gotten that one. Mostly I'm hearing the car insurance ones that all mispronounce "warranty" that same way.

Thrive to spite them

I keep getting "someone in your family recently stayed at (some hotel)" and blah blah.

I must obey the inscrutable exhortations of my soul—Calvin and Hobbs

I don't know what spam calls I'm getting, because I have a spam blocker. But I do know the number has gone from 1–2 a week to 6–7 a day. They show up on my phone as "potential spam" and I don't answer. I figure if it's a real person who really wants to talk to me, they can leave a message.

Our wings are not tired.

I don't hear past the first recorded word, but my sister got 3 'your social security number has been cancelled' calls in one day last week.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

We have Caller ID, so we don't answer if we don't recognize the number. Sometimes it even says Spam? before the ID.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

In not spam news, thanks to USPS informed delivery, I'm now impatiently waiting for my mail to be delivered so I can find out why the IRS is sending me a letter.

I'm trying not to catastrophize until I read the damn thing, so I've limited myself to a few minutes of freaking out and getting my tax returns handy.

I get the car warranty and the social security ones all the time (at least, if I pick up, which I usually do because I also get work calls)
