I'll tell you what will happen without you: she won't be able to pay bills, do laundry, get groceries, deal with her website or clean the carpet. Why would you wish this harridan on another man? What did he ever do to deserve this extremely bad behavior?
The only reason I would yell at my husband with a 104 fever would be if he was refusing to go to the doctor or ER. Yes, I would be freaked out. I would also be taking care of him and doing everything I could to help him feel better.
Your wife is abusive, Gud. You are not a jerk. Never in over 30 years of marriage has my husband made me feel like I was a jerk. He is my biggest advocate. Yes, we disagree, and even fight. But never has he treated me as anything less than a treasured partner. It is wrong and you deserve much better.
Also, why and I watching news? A much better plan would be to avoid all media for a couple months.

That seems to be the way a lot of politicians handle it - I've heard multiple stories from people who write a disfavorable letter to the Senator/Congressman and get a response saying "thank you for your support".
