Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Shana tova, everyone!

But then, a couple of limousines pull up, and out step Kevin Feige and Joss Whedon. Feige had brought Whedon there to try to get him to patch things up with fandom. Except that Joss was still being an arrogant jerk who wouldn't listen to us.

That's amazing, and I'm sorry you weren't more successful!!

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

That is a heckuva dream, Tom. I like it better than what I remember of mine, in which I ordered a cocktail that was free if you ate the chicken foot that came with it (not why I ordered it, I was told later) which I expected to be a dim sum type of thing but was served raw and then injected with something that made it swell up and change form into something more like a beetle and then shrink again and fold itself up into a mini taco. I did not eat it.

Hope ltc is feeling better.

I'm off to give blood. Yay, except for the part where I have to get dressed and leave the house.

The dream I had last night involved me realizing I had forgotten about the stairs to the attic in my bedroom, then remembering I had bought my own house at some point(Still in an apartment in the real world, sorry) and that I was going to have to deal with the overflowing boxes up in the attic at some point.

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

I almost never remember my dreams ... I know I have them, since I occasionally have "memories" of things I know didn't happen. Not sure what that's about.

I had one the other night that I had hooked up with this semi-celebrity (who I do crush on irl) but somehow we were both in college or something? And I woke up and was like "sweet!" But then went back to sleep and dreamed that then I was somehow inadvertently stalking her and she was so grossed out and awkward and I was crushed. And of course that is the dream that stayed with me :(

The dreams I do remember are usually nightmares that I wake up in the middle of ... any others must be fairly innocuous.

Aw, meara

I rarely remember my dreams, usually just a few images and a general impression of what was going on. This one was unusually vivid.

Successfully gave a pint of blood, should have antibody results in a week or so (forgot to make my next appointment I just realized, oops, but I have the phone number for the site I go to so I can call them directly). Stopped by Trader Joe's for challah, they had round holiday loaves! Also picked up a bottle of Honey Moon viognier as that seemed appropriate and way too much in the way of pumpkin flavored this and that because of course I did. Checked my work email for the thing I was expecting on Tuesday that I would've had to do some work on and found instead the other party postponing our next meeting so I do NOT have to work while on vacation at all! Pretty good day so far and no ambitions for the rest of the day!

That's a good day, -t!

I got a pumpkin spice iced coffee at Starbucks today, which was delicious, but ridiculous.

And I missed my shot to conveniently give blood this week, so we'll see when I make it back there/when they make it back to me.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

I find the long ass day in the car drives actually work much better with very frequent stops, even just to walk around the vehicle and get back in. Otherwise I get stiff and/or overtired.

My family's long drives always include rest stops every 2-3 hours no matter what (use bathroom/get snacks if needed or just stretch legs), but These Days I don't know if I'd be more nervous about multiple 5-minute rest stop breaks vs one night in a hotel. Or two hours on a plane. Honestly this is why I haven't been more than 2 hours from my house all summer.

Yeah, "string theory" is the one I was looking for. Like I told dcp, reading $ as string says you've worked with certain programming languages or computer systems - I think it goes all the way back to BASIC.
