mac is home, at least for now. he has put the tracker app back on his phone also. no apology and he's not engaging at all, but he has heard some ground rules and at least opted to stay for tonight.
His room is far cleaner than he left it and I am on the 4th load of laundry from his room.
Wishes for some peace in the household, msbelle.
Mr. S isn't quite there yet.
Many boys aren't in that age range. There may be some wiggle room.
ltc isn't quite there yet either. There is a karate class I want to sign her up for, but she has to be completely trained for that.
I'm sorry, meara. That sucks.
That sounds fairly positive, msbelle. Good luck.
I am so tired. What with one thing another I didn't get any dinner until after 9 and thar is just not how I live.
I want to hear LDB from a rock band with a kick-ass drummer, just to liven it up a bit. Let's really hear that drummer play for him.
This is the drummingest version I know: [link]
The Flaming Lips have a version out there. I don't think it's very drum heavy, though? Guitar forward.
Jack in the Box has a Pumpkin Spice shake made with real pumpkin - pretty good!
If you catch the Ben Folds holiday special on PBS in a couple of weeks, you can see him do the Bing/Bowie version with a tap dancer. FYI.
I spent some time trying the various holiday jazz stations available in the car. Not quite accustomed to the new streaming service after years of Sirius, but getting there. I did not get any jazzy LDB in my travels though.
This Friday morning I did at least remember to listen to the Breakfast of Champions stream on my computer, and for this I am more awake for my tasks at hand.
I've put together an LDB-free playlist for the car. But I'm still vulnerable while shopping and otherwise out in the world, so I figure it isn't really cheating
Today I learned that "unlimited" PTO really means "basically what you had before, plus or minus maybe a day." So I guess it doesn't matter that we're going back to non-unlimited PTO.
I looked at job listings yesterday, and everything sounded so boring it made me want to cry. Not that this job isn't boring, but I at least have seniority and good pay and plenty of vacation, so boohoo for me.
