Who's hosting Mystery! on PBS these days? After Vincent Price and Diana Rigg, they may have a target on their backs.....

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

I don't know whose hosting Mystery, but an actor I like from Hustle is playing a Dutch (I think) detective, so I may tune in and find out...man, I am behind on those

I signed up to get a work-sponsored flu shot in a couple of weeks. They have someone from Costco, I think, come out every year and give us the shots on site, which is convenient, but this year I'm a little concerned how we will manage to stay socially distanced for that...although last time I got one through this I was the only person besides the person giving the shots who was in the lunch room at the time, so maybe that worry is misplaced.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

As I am a federal employee, I am doing the payroll tax deferral starting with my next paycheck. There is no opt-out option available. Ugh.

Hivemind question- if making a surprise birthday cake for someone where you can't find out cake preferences without ruining the surprise, should it be chocolate with vanilla buttercream or vanilla cake with chocolate ganache?

Still Faffing about on this GD Timesheet thing - Found out it needs to be all employees on this stupid timesheet thing, so I asked if it HAS to be the form they sent or would the forms we already have (for most, not me) employees would suffice - GUESS WHAT? That person doesn't know. I am one email exchange away from going full FFS - WHO KNOWS WTF IS REQUIRED??!

FFS may be my most often yelled exasperation.

What is even happening?

As I am a federal employee, I am doing the payroll tax deferral starting with my next paycheck. There is no opt-out option available. Ugh.

I have freelanced so long, I don't know the answer to this, but would this hack will work?

In step 4 on the W-4 form, you can have them withhold extra money per pay period. If your payroll tax is usually $100 per pay period, couldn't you fill out a new W-4 and have them deduct it for the duration of the pause? I know it's an extra step, but (for me) it would be easier than banking it somewhere.

W-4 form: [link]

I hate so many things Trump does, but his effing with people's pay to juice the economy is just so shitty.
