Also, could I get some interview/job~ma at 4PM EST? It's for a side gig that would be a great help in the next step in my career, so no tragedy if I don't get it, but would really like it.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

I've been trying to keep my favorite local Thai place afloat but they are definitely struggling.

From this morning I am officially a research student who is writing a thesis. I suspect it will take me a few days to process the news...

Congratulations! Though if we're noting OFFICIAL statuses, you have been Buffista Certified Awesome for some time.

Good job on the good new job, Gud!

Why isn't everyone pelting me with JOY, dammit? - Zenkitty

I contacted HR this morning about the tax deferral. Considering it's supposed to go from September 1, they really don't seem to have a handle on what's going on. I asked about whether they will make a way for us to opt out - we have federal contracts, but we're not federal - or if we're stuck with it.

I have leftover Pick Up Stix for lunch. Which is not as good as excellent Thai. Maybe later this week...

Congrats, Gud!

Congrats, Shir!

I adore all you motherfuckers so much -- PMM.

I don't know, at least with an orgy getting tested beforehand was already on the to-do list compared to other social gatherings.

Jess, I can't possibly do justice to the entire gamut of emotions this reply caused me to experience. But I am sitting here laughing with tears in my eyes, so thanks for that.

My company just sent out the tactful announcement that "we have elected not to take part in the optional tax deferral program".

Interview~ma, Vortex!

This perpetual twilight of smoky skies is really getting to me today. Possibly because I started working before the sun came up and it kind of feels like the sun never really came up. Do not like. On the plus side, I seem to be breathing easier today, which doesn't make sense but I will take it.

Given they would just have to put the money somewhere to send it in later, it makes perfect sense to opt out.

it is now snowing in Boulder.

Close at hand Thai is a very good thing.

I was too late for lobster roll lunch as they ran out, but had tasty sandwiches nonetheless. DH still thinks I am odd for finding the fog so interesting. But fog! Islands and boats that you see one moment and not the next.
