It is suddenly looking like a hellscape here, the smoke has come. My eyes feel like I've got stuff in them and it smells like a bad bonfire. But I took today off work! ....I was hoping to go to the beach or something though, which doesn't seem as awesome in this weather

Weather be whack so many places. Tropics with 4 storms. Colorado with snow. Poor California. Here in Maine it is quite lovely.
Maine politics, at least here, are pretty mixed. Collins and Trump signs, and plenty of Dems signs too. Talked to the manager here at the resort and he was bemoaning the trashcan treatment of the Pandemic Playbook, rather than listening to experts. So we know where he stands. We've seen lots of listen to science signs too. I really hope to see Collins go down.
