Trudy, I'm so sorry.
(This is the first time I've read to the end of Natter in ages, so if you don't remember me, I'm sparky's cousin.)
Lisah, go you!!
Teppy, ughhh that is so hard. I hope people stay safe.
Norah -WTG Tom!!!
Gud - best of luck with the decision!
There was more but I have lost the ability to thread and am working back up to it.
I'm sorry, Trudy.
God damn it, I'm so sorry Trudy! This is truly the worst year.
Trudy I'm so sorry for your loss.
I some how cross posted last night and didn't see your post about your aunt.
Trudy, I am so sorry. So much of the pain and loss this past year could have been avoided. I alternate between heartbreak and anger. I'm sorry you have lost your aunt. May your mom and the rest of your family find comfort.
Chilly day in Otter Lake. It was in the 40s last night and won't get out of the 60s today. I'm hoping the cold doesn't scare my son off. I really am hoping he stays. His girlfriend really wants to stay. We found an apartment complex in town close to where he works. One bedroom nice place with dishwasher, disposal, community center in the complex and stuff. Hospital across on one side, so likely filled with heathcare types. Walk to fast food, grocery store, and everything else. $875 including ALL utilities, even cable and wifi. Rent is insanely cheap here compared to where we are in Florida. The best we could find for him there was a studio with no utilities included for $1000. It would be a fresh start for him. Digits crossed. He obviously has never dealt with snow before, hence wanting him in a complex that wouldn't require him learning about shoveling.
{{{Trudy}}} Peace to you and your mom.
Boy, my MIL is the master of the conversational "Anyway."
Uncomfortable topic comes up: "Anyway..."
Trudy, I am so sorry.
Bennett, that is what seems to be happening at my University, too. Not my program (nursing) because we specified that everything that is not a hands on lab or a clinical experience will be on Zoom, and the 10 people sessions are PPE'd like whoa. But our Arts and Sciences school decided to leave things up to the instructors, but the students seem to prefer the online. Many of them are podding in groups of five in off campus housing. So hopefully they are being smart about parties and such as well (at least the juniors and seniors).
