Trudy, I am so sorry.
Bennett, that is what seems to be happening at my University, too. Not my program (nursing) because we specified that everything that is not a hands on lab or a clinical experience will be on Zoom, and the 10 people sessions are PPE'd like whoa. But our Arts and Sciences school decided to leave things up to the instructors, but the students seem to prefer the online. Many of them are podding in groups of five in off campus housing. So hopefully they are being smart about parties and such as well (at least the juniors and seniors).
I'm so sorry, Trudy.
I'm considering staying in Colorado for another week, because apparently it's going to SNOW on Tuesday (despite being over 90 on Monday) and I just think that's awesome.
... which is as good a reason as any to stay, I think?
because apparently it's going to SNOW on Tuesday (despite being over 90 on Monday)
My brother texted me last night to rage about how it's going to be record highs for the next 3 days, and then snow on Tuesday. I texted back "Your state has ISSUES, man."
That seems like an excellent reason to stay, Consuela. Especially considering we are looking at a high of 105 on Tuesday here (probably not quite that high by your house, but still pretty high, I'm sure).
Timelies all!
It's been ...a day here. Mr. S woke up in the middle of the night scared. Luckily Gary was able to calm him in his room. Of course, Nova was yowling at 4:30 this morning, so not a lot of sleep here.
Also, I had to go in to work to process samples this morning. Why do they keep starting patients on Friday of a holiday weekend, when they know that means timepoints on Saturday, Sunday and Monday?
Trudy I am so sorry. love to you and your mom.
I think people here need to know about this IG account [link]
Send them pics of your cats and they mash them up with various images! $5 per cat image. People I am texting with have images of cat faces as scoops of ice cream!!
I think everyone I know in Colorado has posted the weeks forecast on the socials.
Trudy, I'm so sorry to hear about your Aunt Carol. Peace to you, your mom, and your family. (I'm glad your mom is still being cautious.)
Teppy, you're doing the right thing with Tim's family gathering.
If we'd just handled this right from the outset, we'd be largely out of the woods now, and outdoor gatherings wouldn't make us blink. I remain completely angry about how the US has handled COVID-19 and how we're handling everything everything everything. It feels like there's no way out.
I didn't want my despair post to taint this.
>I make my stuffed mac & cheese (from scratch, 4 cheeses) with a layer in the pan, add a layer of smoked brisket, a layer of caramelized onions, then top it with more mac & cheese, a layer of cheese, and a layer of bread crumbs, then bake. It is tasty.
Vortex, that's art. My word, that sounds incredible.
