I hope she is feeling better.
I also accidentally baked way too much babka, so y'all welcomed to some. Because babka helps. Babka ftw.
Too much babka -- the "too much candy" of Buffista dotage.
I'm glad ltc doesn't have Covid, sj. I hope she's feeling better soon.
David, I'm glad things are looking a little bright for Jacqueline and family. Kudos to that firefighter.
Laura, poor Skinner! I'm glad he's okay. Some years back, Buffy got in a fight with a FedEx truck. She thought she won, because she was exceedingly proud of herself, when it left our neighborhood. She broke a hind leg though, and her X-rays, treatment, and cast cost us about $1,000.
Kalshane, your kid is three years old at most. Stop tricking us.
She's shaken up. And filing for divorce. Dad said she is welcome to stay and I think she needs the stability and someone to support her through this, too.
I think you and your Dad are right, Cashmere. What a nightmare.
I'm trying not to get too low. Even watching things in Kenosha. We had a BLM demonstration planned for Saturday and now we have similar "militia" groups putting up a call to arms.
I keep hoping this is a bad dream, which I know is stupid, but everything is so awful.
I'm sick of white supremacy. I'm sick of violence. I'm sick of a system that rewards bad behavior and punishes minorities for just being minorities.
Yup.
I'm working on staying positive and doing small things around the community to help. Make a donation, patronize a minority owned business, just be fucking nice to people. GAH.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.
I'm feeling really discouraged after the fascism celebration at the White House and the Washington Monument last night. You can tell, because I quoted Hairloaf's epiphany.
I think about that line ALL THE TIME.
I have amazing news: I just picked up my trombone for the first time in months, because I have a (small group, outside) band rehearsal this weekend!!!!!! I think I'm going to have to get on the subway for the first time since March to do it, but that is so worth it.
Also, that's all very promising to hear about your father and brother, Steph. Fingers still crossed.
Woo! Trombone time!
Woo Trombone!
'Bone Time!
Good job, Commander Riker!
Timelies all!
